for the Keren Hayesod. The holding of a Palestine week has been planned in connection with it. The Shekel Campaign is likely to reach the number sold for the last Congress, viz :—about 4,500. The Federation has raised various sums for all Zionist purposes during the last few years. The Jewish communities, charitable institutions, schools, as well as the committees of Jewish organisations in general are almost without exception under Zionist influence. The Committees for Jewish refugee work and for the protection of Jewish rights also are composed of Zionists. Co-operation with the non-Zionist representative of Belgium in the Jewish Agency, Prof. Herbert Speyer, has always been excellent. The Belgian Federation is not represented in the General Council by a member who has either the power to vote or even to speak, and in consequence the relations with the Executive suffer considerably. This year the Secretary of the Federation, J. Schulsinger, attended the meeting of the General Council in Jerusalem as a visitor. The organ of the Belgian Federation, Hatikvah, had to close down. The papers published in this country are the Jüdische Presse" (Yiddish) which is Zionistic, and lately La Tribune Juive (Brussels), which is under Zionist influence, as well as the K.K.L. Bulletin Go el. The Jews of Belgium are interested or have holdings in the most varied undertakings in Palestine. There is a constant stream of tourists from Belgium to Palestine, which helps to maintain livelv relations with that country. CANADA.
