Union Sioniste, Brussels, 340 members. Chairman, J. Kubowitzki (General Zionist). Poale Zion, with branches in Brussels, Antwerp, Charleroi, Liège, Ghent and Seraing, 534 members, Mizrachi (with Women's and Youth Sections), branches in Antwerp and Brussels, 375 members. Union Sioniste, Liège, 75 members of all parties. Organisation Sioniste, Ostend, 30 members (General Zionists). There are seven youth groups altogether, four of the General Zionist and three of the Labour parties. Propaganda is conducted separately by the various groups. Large meetings are organised from time to time by the Federation, with the assistance of leading personalities. Since the last Congress public meetings have been addressed by Prof. Brodetsky, of the Executive, and Dr. Joachim Prinz, of Berlin. Zionist lectures and other functions are held at the Beth Zion in Antwerp every Thursday, and similar gatherings are held at the Beth Zion in Brussels every Wednesday evening. Palestine Office.—The Palestine Office has distributed fiftyeight certificates during the last two years. The office, under the zealous management of Mr. Max Lorie, has done important work in providing certificates for German refugees; altogether there have been issued 158 certificates for refugees, eighteen certificates to artisans and fourteen to capitalists. The Keren Kayemeth has developed considerable activity and its income has greatly increased. In 5694 the amount received was 374,000 frs., while the sum of 150,000 frs. is still outstanding—a total of 524,000 frs. as compared with 376,000 frs. in 5693. Under the direction of the executive a large scale campaign was undertaken for the planting of a forest in the name of the late King Albert, which has not yet been closed and will probably yield 300,000 frs. The Keren Hayesod, with the assistance of the official delegate, Mr. Blumberg, has raised the sum of £1,500 this year. Further efforts are being made to increase this amount. In the preceding year a big campaign was carried out, part of the proceeds of which belong to the Arlosoroff collection. The total raised was Fis. 2529 and Frs. 95,456.25 in Antwerp and 105,000 frs. in Brussels and Charleroi. The Brussels Exhibition of 1935.—The Committee under the Chairmanship of Alfred Goldschmidt-Brodsky (Belgique-Palestine) of Brussels, and Numa Torczyner (Zionist Federation) established a Palestine Pavilion at the International Brussels Exhibition, in which the Palestinian institutions were represented through " Mischar Vetaasia " and the " Pica." The opening of the Pavilion, which was built by the architects, J. de Lange and Block, took place on June 26th. The Pavilion formed a suitable medium for Zionist propaganda on a large scale, and particularly propaganda 199
