Beth Chanan, by Moreau Azriel, an illustrated pamphlet dealing with the Keren Hayesod settlement of Sephardic Jews of that name, was published in French only, in 2,000 copies. Pictures and Figures. A revised edition, complete with diagrams and photographs, was published in Hebrew, Yiddish, English, French, German, Ladino, Dutch, Italian, Czech and Greek, in 45,000 copies. Rational Planning of Agricultural Colonisation, the report rendered to the last Congress by Mr. Elazari-Volcani, Director of the Agricultural Experiment Station in Rehovoth, was published, in English, in 2,000 copies. The New Era of the Keren Hayesod, by Dr. Oskar Wolfsberg (32 pp.) dealing with past, present and future activities of the Keren Hayesod, appeared in Hebrew, Yiddish and German, in 10,000 copies. In view of the new colonising problems which the Keren Hayesod was called upon to face, two new illustrated leaflets were published in March, 1935, i.e. Emek liefer and Huleh, in 75,000' copies, in Hebrew, Yiddish, English, French and German. Publicity material to the total extent of 275,000 copies was printed and distributed by the Keren Hayesod Head Office during the period under review. Photo-Service. The most important American papers, such as New York Times, Daily Nezvs, and others, have already used photos of ours. Writers, journalists and casual visitors select their pictorial material for books or illustrated lectures on Palestine from our photographic archives of some 2,500 photos. The photo-service is augmented by the " Palestine Block Service " in Jerusalem. Since November, 1934, the latter has been sending out 3-4 original zinc blocks (newspaper blocks) twice monthly accompanied by a covering Bulletin. In the course of that period thirty-six newspapers and Keren Hayesod Committees have taken out subscriptions for this service. In the United States, too, it is beginning to be appreciated. Film. On the strength of an agreement entered into with Fox-Movietone, which sent some of their best operators to Palestine, the Head Office made a large and first-class Palestine film in the summer of 1934, under the direction of Mr. Leo Herrmann. This film, completed in the New York Fox Film Studios in May, 1935, will be performed all over the world in the course of this year. It is bound to prove the best propaganda medium we have ever had. It is a sound-motion picture, entitled 128
