ВАРСКИЙ (наст. фам. Варшавский-Варский) Адольф-Ежи (1868, Краков, Австро-Венгрия – 1937), деятель польск. коммунист. и раб. движения. С юношеских лет участвовал в польск. раб. движении. Один из создателей Союза польск. рабочих (1889), С.-д-тии Королевства Польского (1893) и С.-д-тии Королевства Польского и Литвы (СДКПиЛ) (1900), чл. ее Гл. правления и ред. печатных органов. Участник рев. событий 1905–07 в Царстве Польском. Дел. СККПиЛ на 2-м и 4-м съездах РСДРП. После вступления СДКПиЛ в РСДРП (1906) вошел ее представителем в ЦК РСДРП. Неоднократно подвергался арестам и ссылкам. В годы 1-й мир. войны участник Междунар. социалистич. конф. в Циммервальде и Кинтале (Швейцария). В 1918 один из созд. КП Польши, в 1919 29 чл. ее ЦК, в 1926 избран деп. Сейма Польши. После запрещения КП Польши (1929) эмигрировал в СССР, один из рук.
