ТАУБИН Яков Григорьевич (1900, Пинск Минской губ. – 1941, Барбыш Куйбышевской обл.), конструктор стрелкового оружия. Окончил 4 курса Одесского ин-та технологии зерна и муки. С 1933 работал на Ковровском оружейном з-де. В 1937 создал и возглавил Особое конструкторское бюро № 16 Наркомата вооружений. Созд. первого в мире автоматич. гранатомета (1938). Совм. с М.Н.Бабуриным разработал 23-м авиац. пушку МП-6 – первую сов. авиац. пушку с автоматич. прицелом на коротком ходе ствола, принятую на вооружение в ноябре 1940. Награжден орд. Ленина (1940). В мае 1941 арестован. Расстрелян. @ru
