САМОЙЛОВ (наст. фам. Кауфман) Давид Самуилович (1920, Москва – 1990, Пярну, ЭССР), поэт, переводчик. В 1938–41 учился в ИФЛИ. Печататься начал в 1941. В 1942–45 – на фронте. Автор сб. стих. «Ближние страны» (1958), «Второй перевал» (1963), «Дни» (1970), «Равноденствие» (1972), «Весть» (1978), «Голоса за холмом» (1986), «Снегопад» (1990) и др. Мн. стих. посв. воен. годам, назначению иск-ва. Со 2-й пол. 1970-х гг. жил в Пярну. Сотрудничал на радио, занимался переводами: сб. «Поэты-современники. Стихи заруб. поэтов» (1963), драма в стихах Ю.М.Марцинкявичюса «Собор» (1978), «Девичьи обеты, или Магнетизм сердца» А.Фредро и др.
