МЕЕРОВИЦ Зигфридс (1887 – 1925), государственный деятель. В 1910-х гг. дир. банка в Риге. В 1917 чл. Латвийского нац. совета, в дальнейшем мин. иностр. дел Латвии, в 1919 представлял страну при заключении Версальского мирного договора. В 1921–24 премьер-мин. Латвии, участвовал в работе Генуэзской конф. (1922), представлял Латвию в Лиге Наций.Сын М. – Гунар (р. 1920, Рига), политический деятель. С 1948 – в Германии, с 1950 – в США. В 1951–58 работал в Мин-ве обороны. Один из лидеров латышской эмиграции. С 1993 деп. сейма Латвии. Гос. мин. по делам Балтийских и Северных стран в МИДе Латвии. @ru

Lettland nahm an der Genoa Conf teil. (1922) vertrat Lettland im Völkerbund. Ms Sohn - Gunar (* 1920 in Riga), ein Politiker. Seit 1948 - in Deutschland, seit 1950 - in den USA. In den Jahren 1951 bis 1958 arbeitete er im Verteidigungsministerium. Einer der Führer der lettischen Auswanderung. Seit 1993 dep. Diät von Lettland.
