Совета раввинов Литвы, один из лидеров движения «Мизрахи» в Литве. Был расстрелян вместе со всеми евреями местечка.Сын М. – Моше-Дов (1901, Крожи Ковенского у. и губ. – 1963, Тель-Авив), предприниматель, общественный деятель. В 1929 участвовал в работе 16-го Сионист. конгр. в Цюрихе. С 1934 – в Э.-И. Основал первую в Э.-И. ф-ку по произ-ву мед. ваты. Был чл. ЦК «Мизрахи». Зам. пред. совета по стр-ву ун-та им. Бар-Илана.
