- ГРОДЗЕНСКИЙ Хаим Озер (1863, Ивье Ошмянског у. Виленской губ. – 1940, Вильно), раввин. Ученик раввина X.Соловейчика. В 1887 назначен виленским даяном (религ. судьей), был одним из инициаторов Вилен-ской конф. 1909, основавшей ортодокс, орг-цию «Кнесес-Исроэл», участником учредит. конф. ортодокс, религ. движения «Агудас Исроэл» (1912, Катовицы). Известен своей борьбой с сионизмом и Гаскалой. Своими респонсами (разъяснениями) по талмудич. праву и ритуалу (кн. «Ахиэзер», т.1–3, 1922, 1925, 1939) приобрел большой авторитет в кругах ортодокс, еврейства.
