ГЕРШТЕЙН Семен Исаевич (1903, Илецкая Защита Оренбургской губ. – 1960, Москва), график, художник театра и кино. Учился в Казанских худ.-тех. мастерских (ок. в 1921), ВХУТЕМАСе (1921–26) у Н.И.Фешина, И.И.Машкова, В.А.Фаворского. Излюбленный вид творчества – сценография, оформил спектакли: «Риголетто» и «Тоска» (Белорус. театр оперы и балета, 1935), «Штраусиана», «Лондонские трущобы» Б.Шоу (Московский театр сатиры, 1950) и др. Постоянно участвовал в худ. выставках. Эскизы декораций к спектаклям находятся в Гос. Русском музее, Саратовском худ. музее, Алтайском краевом музее (Барнаул). @ru
