has abstract: БЕРНШТЕЙН Ицхок (наст. имя Игнац) (1836, Винница – 1909, Брюссель), этнограф, фольклорист. Р. в семье банкира. В 1856 поселился в Варшаве. С 1859 серьезно занялся сбором и записью фольклорного материала и, в первую очередь, пословиц и поговорок евреев, проживавших в разл. частях Европы. В 1908 издал отдельным сб-ком ок. 4 тыс. пословиц и поговорок, а также фольклорные сб-ки «Эротика» и «Рустика». @ru
