Формирование творч. мировоззрения происходило в среде худ.-шестидесятников на ежегод. моск. молодеж. выставках. С 1958 уч. моск., всес., респ. и заруб. выставок. С 1972 в Израиле. Живет в Иерусалиме. Преподавал живопись, рис., комп. в Хайфском ун-те, Евр. ун-те в Иерусалиме, АХ и Доме художника (там же). С 1991 пред. правления творч. объединения в пос. худ. Санур (Шомрон). В живописи А. стремится передать суть явлений яз. пластики и движением цвета. За годы пребывания в Израиле меняются творч. ориентации А.: высш. этические и эстетические критерии он находит в ТАНАХе, по мотивам к-рого создает ряд произв.
