SKAKALSKY Efim Ruvimovich (* 1930 in Moskau), Künstler für dekorative und angewandte Kunst, Grafiker. 1955 absolvierte er die MVHPU (ehemals Stroganovskoe), wo er bei V. I. Kozlinsky, V. E. Egorov, N. G. Sobolev, K. A. Soloviev studierte. Er führte monumentale Gemälde auf der All-Union Agricultural Exhibition (1955–56) durch, arbeitete an Projekten und der Schaffung von Kunstdekor in Materialien. Выполнял монументальные росписи на ВСХВ (1955–56), работал над проектами и созданием в материале худож.-декор. оформления павильона «Рыбное хозяйство» (там же, 1958, ков. медь, сталь, латунь, соавт.) и ряда др. зданий. Одноврем., как художник-график, сотрудничал в печатных изд. Совинформбюро (1956), газ. «Известия», «Лит. газете», газ. «Сов. культура», в журн. «Юность», «Наука и жизнь» и др. (с 1957). В 1958 начал работать для книжн. изд-в, иллюстрируя и оформляя кн. Н.Л.Эйдельмана, Л.Э.Разгона, Вс.Иванова и др. В 1968 – 1-я пр. за лучшую кн. года изд-ва «Сов. Россия». Работал в журн. «Советиш Геймланд». Иллюстрировал кн. И.Ш.Бухбиндера, Л.М.Квитко, Б.Миллера, И.Фаликмана, Ш.Б.Чернявского и др. С. участвовал в выставках книжной графики, шрифта и орнамента, декор.-прикл. иск-ва в Москве и за рубежом. В 1990 оформленные и иллюстрированные С. кн. еврейских писателей были представлены на выставке произв. еврейских художников в Шяуляе (Литва). Работы С. находятся в Вильнюсском еврейском худ. музее.
