Um 19 - früh. 20. Jahrhundert - die Stadt Baltsky u. 1847 lebten 182 Juden in Kasachstan, 1897 - 1530 (62,9%), 1923 - 1528, 1939 - 1258 Juden (27,3%). 3 Synagogen. Main Besetzung der Juden im 19. Jahrhundert - Handel. Im Sommer 1941 besetzte KO Teile der Wehrmacht. 20. September 1941 wurden mehr als zweitausend Juden von KO nach Dubossary (heutiges Dubasar) deportiert und dort erschossen. In der KO-Familie: IM Gelfand; Zinovy Stolyar (* 1924), Musikwissenschaftler, Schimmelhistoriker. Musik, Autor der Werke "Volksmusik der Juden der Republik Moldau", "Unter einem Himmel. Juden und Musikkultur Moldawiens “(Chisinau, 1993).

Main occupation of Jews in the 19th century - trade. In the summer of 1941, KO occupied parts of the Wehrmacht. Sep 20 1941 more than 2 thousand Jews were deported from KO to Dubossary (present-day Dubasar) and there were shot. In KO family: IM Gelfand; Zinovy Stolyar (b. 1924), musicologist, historian of mold. music, author of the works "Folk music of the Jews of the Republic of Moldova", "Under one sky.
