Geb. 1710 in Hildesheim,Gest. 18. Sept. 1789 in Warendorf, Fsm. MünsterSohn des Meyer, 1759 Hoffaktor und Münzlieferant des Fsms. Münster, 1771 Landesrb. des Fsms. Münster mit Sitz in Warendorf. Der Kurfürst hatte die münsterische Landjudenschaft noch am 18. Juli 1771 angewiesen, sich dem Bonner Landesrb. unterzuordnen, dann jedoch am 23. Aug. 1771 die Wahl eines eigenen Rb. gestattet, welche Wahl am 3. Sept. 1771 unanimiter auf B. fiel und am 2. Nov. vom Fürsten bestätigt wurde. Die Zivilgerichtsbarkeit wird B. mit dem Hauptgeleit vom 21. Juni 1784 entzogen. Kurz vor seinem Tod bemühte er sich gegen den Widerstand mehrerer Vorsteher, seinen Sohn David Breslau zum Nachfolger zu bestimmen.- occupation URI
