15 groups. Also affiliated to the Organisation is the Organisation of General Zionist Artisans, having a membership of 800 in 25 branches in various towns. In 1934 steps were also taken for the establishment of an organisation of General Zionist farmers, called " Hachaklai," which has several hundred members. General Zionist students formed a society " Herzliah," with a membership of 70; and the " Hechaker," also an academic society, has 50 members. Many other Zionist students' societies are affiliated to local Zionist bodies. In all the societies, both those of adults and of the youth, intensive cultural and educational activities are being carried out, including instruction in Hebrew, Zionist history, Palestine geography, etc. The majority of the members of the Zionist Organisation in Lithuania know the Hebrew language. The branches of the Organisation take an active part in the work for the Zionist Funds and in all other Zionist activities. The last annual Conference took place on February 24th, 1935, which was attended by 241 delegates, representing all the provincial branches and all General Zionist bodies. The Yidische Stimme is the official organ of the Zionist Organisation in Lithuania, and is published in Kaunas as a daily, edited by Mr. Reuben Rubinstein. This daily has existed already for seventeen years. During the period under review a visit was paid to Lithuania "by Mr. M. Kleinman, the editor of the official Zionist organ, the " Haolam." He delivered a number of addresses in Kaunas and in the provinces. Public meetings in the provinces devoted to various Zionist topics are a regular feature of our propaganda work. In 5694 the number of shekolim disposed of in Lithuania amounted to 3742. It is expected that in 5695 the number may reach the high figure of 40,000. LUXEMBOURG. The Executive elected at the last General Meeting of the Federation in November, 1934, consists of Frau Weinryb, Chairman; Arnold Scheuer, Vice-Chairman; David Kon, Palestine Office; Nathan Herz, Keren Hayesod; Siegfried Hamber, Secretary, and Salomon Herz and Abraham Nuttel. Since May, 1933, when the reorganisation of the Federation took place, the number of paying members has increased from 30 to 133. There are also two Youth Organisations, which comprise about 80 members, as well as a " Maccabi " Sport Organisasion. There are also small Zionist groups outside the city of Luxembourg, namely, at Esch and Ettelbrueck.
