speaking countries, and for the publication of official reports and documents, and is also widely read in official circles. The Publicity Department, under the control of Mr. Israel Cohen, is engaged in watching the Press and replying to attacks and misrepresentations in regard to Zionism and Jewish affairs in Palestine that appear from time to time. The Press is, on the whole, much better informed now about Palestine than it was previously, partly as a result of the special visits to the country paid by a great number of journalists on behalf of their respective papers. The year 1934 was distinguished for the large amount of space devoted by the English press to developments in Palestine and especially for the number of illustrated supplements dealing with Palestine (published, among others, by The Near East and India, the Manchester Guardian Commercial, and Daily Telegraph). Articles on various aspects of the work in Palestine have been contributed by Mr. Israel Cohen to several journals, including The Contemporary Review, The Fortnightly Review, The Statist, The Crown Colonist, Manchester Guardian, Sydney Adorning Herald, and others. Mr. Cohen has also furnished a number of articles on Palestine and Zionist problems to many Zionist papers in overseas countries. The Publicity Department has sent communiqués to the Press on all matters of interest arising from time to time, given interviews to journalists, and supplied information to lecturers and general enquirers. The Department prepares for publication the Report of the Executive to the Congress (and the Report to the Council of the Jewish Agency), as well as all English pamphlets issued by the Central Office. Internal Press Review.—We have resumed the issue of this weekly review, which is mainly intended for the use of the Executive and their fellow-workers. It contains summaries of the most important articles in the Zionist press as well as of articles of Zionist interest in the general press. The English section of the review is devoted to articles in the Hebrew, English and Yiddish press, and the German section to articles in the German and Polish prass. Items from the Arabic press are also included. II.—Publications. (a) Report of the Executive to the Eighteenth Congress. The Report of the Executive to the Eighteenth Congress was published as usual in Hebrew, English, and German. The following reports were also issued separately, viz. : the Reports of the Jewish Agency, of the Keren Hayesod, and of the Keren Kayemeth. (b) Resolutions of the Eighteenth Congress. Shortly after the last Congress the complete authentic text of all resolutions was published in pamphlet-form in English and German editions. 56
