coopération with the Zionist Executive is concerned, the Hadassah has been offered arrangements similar to those made with the WIZO. Mention should also be made of the " Pioneer Women's Organisation," which is affiliated to the Labour Party in the United States. 3. Personal Relations with the Federations. The fostering of personal relations with our constituent bodies has been the object of our constant endeavours, but unfortunately we have been able to devote ourselves to this task only in a limited measure. Although members and delegates of the Executive have visited a number of countries, we are aware that much more must be done. As the members of the Executive, owing to their departmental duties, can undertake journeys only occasionally, arrangements must be made in the future to secure the co-operation of suitable representatives for the purpose of maintaining immediate contact between the Executive and our constituent societies. Apart from the visits to various countries by President Sokolow, Prof. Brodetsky and Mr. Locker, recorded in the section on Administration, mention may also be made here of the visit by the late Dr. Jacobson to Italy, where he addressed some meetings. Mr. Israel Cohen, who visited Spain and Portugal on behalf of the Keren Hayesod in December, 1934, also utilised his journey for the purpose of improving Zionist propaganda in Lisbon, Madrid and Barcelona. Dr. Lauterbach visited Amsterdam twice (in May and June, 1935) on behalf of the Executive, to take part in the discussions between the Dutch Zionist Federation and the local Poale Zion. Mr. M. Klemmann, who spent some months in South Africa in the interest of " Haolam " in the winter of 1934, delivered a number of lectures in various towns under the auspices of the South African Zionist Federation. Mr. Kurt Blumenfeld carried out a propaganda tour in the summer of 1934 through West Galicia, Czecho-Slovakia, Switzerland, Alsace, Belgium and England. Mr. J. Sprinzak visited Rumania in the summer of 1935, where he effected an agreement between the local parties and represented the Executive at the successful Conference of the Zionists in Transylvania. The following representatives of overseas Federations took advantage of their sojourn in London in order to visit the Central Office and discuss matters of interest, or were otherwise met by representatives of the Executive: Mr. A. M. Abrahams, Hon. Life President of the South African Zionist Federation, Mr. M. Kentridge, M.P., member of the Executive of the South African Zionist Executive, Rabbi E. M. Levy, formerly of South Africa and now Chief Minister of the principal Synagogue in Sydney (Australia), and Col. A. W. Hyman, representative of the Union of Sydney Zionists. 20 »»-■"■" .....■...... ....... ■ — -■" *-.......-• - -.....----- ■~\ *yf^^^^^^^m^^^mj%
