The groups in Spain and Portugal have been strengthened as ä result of the visit of Mr. Israel Cohen and thanks to the co-operation of some Zionists recently arrived from Germany. There is a justified prospect that the separate groups in Cairo and Alexandria will unite into a Federation. Thanks to the efforts of the Keren Hayesod delegate, Mr. M. Graiver, two Zionist groups have been formed in Ecuador. A detailed report about the World Union of General Zionists is given in cap. 10. (b) Zionist Separate Unions. The Mizrachi Separate Union, whose headquarters are in Jerusalem, has branch groups in the following eighteen countries r America, Belgium, Bessarabia, Bukowina, Czecho-Slovakia, Great Britain, France, East Galicia, West Galicia, Greece, Holland, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Austria, Palestine, Poland and Transylvania. The headquarters of this organisation, which held a meeting of its party during the period of this report, are in Warsaw. The process of amalgamation of the branch groups of the two former Separate Unions has made progress, but has not yet been completed. There are joint or uniform branch groups in the following seventeen countries : America, Argentina, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Bulgaria, Danzig, Germany, England, France, East France, East Galicia, Latvia, Lithuania, Palestine, Poland and Yugo-Slavia. There are separate groups in five countries : Bessarabia, Bukowina, Rumania, West Galicia and Czecho-Slovakia. New groups, which are growing, have been formed in Estonia, Holland and Hungary.
