- השירים לכבוד החתונה משולבים במעין סיפור על המשתה שנערך לכבוד האירוע ועל קבוצת משוררים "יודעי מלאכת השיר ומביני מדע בחכמת המשל והמליצה" שחיברו כביכול באופן ספונטני שירים לכבוד החתן והכלה.

- צעיר המשוררים הקמים (ע"פ סיפור המסגרת - ראו אצבע "מודלים") לברך את הזוג אומר כדברים הבאים, כנגד שניים מן המשוררים שנשאו דברים לפניו: "מדוע שבחתם את הכלה בטוב תארה ויפי' ועזבתם טוב לבבה וכשרון מעשי'. ואם אמנם היופי שבח לאשה הנה הוא כאין וכאפס נגד המדות החמודות. וכבר אמר המלך החכם בספר משליו שקר החן והבל היופי אשה יראת ה' היא תתהלל..." (עמ' ג) לאחר מכן נשאו חרוזים עם פסוקים מתוך "אשת חיל", ובשבח האישה המשכלת.
