ЮДИН Гавриил Яковлевич (1905, Витебск – 1991, Москва), дирижер, композитор. Брат М.В.Юдиной. Игре на скрипке обучался у С.Жива (1915–16) и А.Бессмертного (1916–18), затем в Нар. конс. (1918–21) у К.К.Григоровича, а также по кл. композиции у А.Постникова. В 1926 окончил Ленингр. конс. по кл. композиции и дирижирования. Начал активную дирижерскую деятельность, гастролируя гл. обр. на периферии (Уфа, Пермь, Самара и др.). В 1934–35 дирижер орк. Моск. т-ра для детей. В 1935 муз. рук. и дирижер симф. орк. Сталинградского радиокомитета. В 1937–38 возглавлял орк. в Архангельске, в 1940 – в Горьком, где одноврем. преподавал в муз. уч-щах. В 1941–43 руководил оперным кл. эвакуированной в Саратов Моск. конс. Вернувшись в Москву (1943), был дирижером самодеят. орк. 1-й возд. истребит. армии. В 1945 гл. дирижер симф. орк. в Кишиневе. В 1946–56 доц. Ин-та воен. дирижеров в Москве. В 1956–66 возглавлял орк. во мн. кр. городах СССР. Ю. – автор оркестровок ряда соч. А.К.Глазунова, в т. ч. 9-й симфонии, к-рую исполнил в 1948. Под упр. Ю. впервые прозвучали мн. произв. С.С.Прокофьева, Р.М.Глиэра, Т.Н.Хренникова и др., а также редко исполняемые соч. В.-А.Моцарта, Р.Штрауса, Ф.Шуберта. Автор муз. комедии «Клоп» (по В.В.Маяковскому, 1957), кантаты «Возмездие» (пролог к поэме А.А.Блока, 1926), увертюры-рапсодии на темы казачьих песен (1956), увертюры «Молдавская сюита» (1946), произв. для струн. квартета, романсов, хоров и т. д.
