ЯНОВСКАЯ Софья Александровна (1896, Пружаны Гродненской губ. – 1966, Москва), математик, историк и философ науки. Проф. (1931), д-р физ.-матем. наук (1935). Училась (1914–18) на Высш. жен. курсах в Одессе. Ученица С.О.Шатуновского. Окончила Ин-т красной профессуры (1929). Участник Гражд. войны. Работала в Одесском губкоме РКП(б) (1920–23), с 1925 – в МГУ. В 1936 прочитала в МГУ первый курс по матем. логике. Организатор кафедры матем. логики там же. Ред. пер., коммент. и автор вступ. ст. в первой, опубл. в СССР (1947) моногр. «Основы теоретической логики» Д.Гильберта и В.Аккермана. Одна из создателей сов. школы историков математики.
