ВЕЙСЕНБЕРГ Семен Ефимович (1863, Каменец-Подольский – |), юрист, обществ. деятель. Окончил юрид. ф-т Петерб. ун-та (1886). В ун-те примкнул к палестинофильскому движению, участвовал в созд. первого в Петербурге палестинофильского кружка, позднее – в созд. Одесского палестинского к-та. В сер. 1890-х одним из первых примкнул к полит. сионизму, участник 3, 4, 6 и 8-го Всемирн. сионист, конгр. и съездов рос. сионистов в Минске (1902) и Гельсингфорсе (1906), возглавлял орг-цию сионистов в Петербурге. Одноврем. активно работал в Об-ве для распространения просвещения между евреями в России и Об-ве для науч. евр. изд. Во время рев-ции 1905–07 В. участвовал в создании «Союза для достижения полноправия евреев в России» (чл. его Центр. и Петерб. к-тов).
