ВЕЙНШТЕЙН Григорий Эммануилович (1861, Херсон – 1929, Париж), обществ. деятель, инженер, предприниматель. Окончил в 1882 Петерб. технологич. ин-т. Работал торг. доме семьи «Эммануэл Вейнштейн и сыновья» (осн. в 1874). Один из самых авторитетных мукомолов России. До введения в 1892 ограничит, закона о евреях состоял гласным херсонского губ. земства и Одесской гор. думы; пред. хим. отд. Рус. техн. об-ва, зам. пред. центр, орг-ции Всерос. об-ва мукомолов; с 1891 пред. одесского отделения Об-ва распространения просвещения между евреями в России и чл. к-та Об-ва для науч. евр. изданий. Сторонник ассимиляции, т. е. «тенденции строить евр. жизнь в России совместно с рус. жизнью». Неоднократно был выборщиком при избрании членов Гос. совета от пром-сти. В 1915 избран в Гос. совет, где голосовал с большинством, присоединившимся к требованиям «Прогрессивного блока» Гос. думы. После Окт. революции эмигрировал, жил в Париже.
