ТЕЛИНГАТОР Соломон Бенедиктович (1903, Тифлис – 1969, Москва), художник-график. Род. в семье художника-декоратора. Учился в худож. мастерских Наркомпроса в Баку. Работал худож. в бакинских газ. «Молодой рабочий», «Труд». Вместе с братом Адольфом сделал неск. афиш и эскизов театр. костюмов для бакинских т-ров. Организатор и рук. худож.-графич. студии Баккав Роса. С 1925 – в Москве, где изучил типографское дело, работал типограф. инструктором, техн. ред. и выпускающим. Позднее руководил худож.-графич. частью изд-в «Земля и фабрика», «Мол. гвардия». Одноврем. работал художником-оформителем кн., журн. и др. массовых изд., в т. ч. журн. «СССР на стройке». С 1927 участвовал более чем в 30 выставках художников книги. В 1941–45 – на фронте. После 1945 гл. худож. Воениздата, оформитель в разл. изд-вах. В 1963 первым из сов. худож. получил междунар. Гуттенбергскую пр. Иллюстрировал кн. П.Д.Маркиша, Л.М.Квитко, М.С.Тейфа; совм. с Л.М.Лисицким сделал эскизы оформления «Черной книги» под ред. В.С.Гроссмана и И.Г.Эренбурга.
