ТАУБЕ Михаэль (1890, Лодзь Петроковской губ. – 1972, Тель-Авив), дирижер, композитор. В детстве обучался игре на фп., скрипке, виолончели, флейте. Занимался в Лейпцигской конс., затем в Кельне (в т. ч. дирижированием с Г.Абендротом). Начал конц. деятельность в Бонне и Кельне, с 1920 в качестве дирижера выступал во Франкфурте, Берлине и Кельне. С 1924 ассистент Б.Вальтера в Берлинской оп. В 1926 основал камерный орк. и хор в Берлине и проводил т. н. Камерные концерты Таубе. В 1933 был одним из основателей Еврейского культурного союза. С 1934 – в Э.-И., в 1935 возглавил симф. орк. Иерусалима. В 1956 создал камерный орк. Рамат-Гана. Был также организатором израильских Баховского и Моцартовского об-в.
