САЛЯМОН Леонид Самсонович (р. 1917, Петроград – 2009), специалист в области экспериментальной медицины. Д-р мед. наук (1971). В 1940 окончил 2-й Ленингр. мед. ин-т. В 1941–44 – на фронте. В 1944–51 на кафедре фармакологии Воен.-мор. мед. академии, с 1951 нач. токсикологич. лаб. Балт. флота. В 1959–71 работал под рук. Л.М.Шабада в НИИ онкологии им. Н.Н.Петрова в Ленинграде. С 1973 – в моск. НИИ по биол. испытаниям хим. соединений, в 1986–89 – в Моск. н.-и. рентгенорадиологич. ин-те. Выступал в печати с критикой офиц. оценки последствий аварии на Чернобыльской АЭС. Науч. труды С. посв. вопр. фармакологии (открыл противовоспалит. активность сульфаниламидов), токсикологии, онкологии, в т. ч. радиоактивным в-вам, опухолеродному действию канцерогенов, канцерогенному действию нек-рых лекарств и др. Разработал метод ускоренного выявления ингибиторов канцерогенеза и предложил добавлять их к лекарствам, обладающим опухолеродной активностью.
