Er arbeitete beim Kharkov-Hydrometeorologen. in-jenen (1942–43) an der Moskauer Technischen Hochschule (1943–47) in Aserbaidschan. un-diejenigen (1950–55), in Kolomenskoye ped. in-denen (1955–64), im Institut für Geschichte der Naturwissenschaften und Technik der Akademie der Wissenschaften der UdSSR (seit 1964). Seit 1990 - in den USA. Arbeitet an der University of Pennsylvania.
