РОЗЕНБЕРГ Георгий Владимирович (1914, Смоленск – 1982, Москва), физик-оптик. Д-р физ.-матем. наук (1954), проф. (1968). Окончил физ. ф-т МГУ (1938). Работал в Физ. ин-те АН СССР под рук. Г.С.Ландсберга, затем в лаб. атмосферной оптики Ин-та теоретич. геофизики АН СССР. В 1941 – 45 – на фронте. В 1956–82 зав. отд. атмосферной оптики, переименованным позже в отд. физики атмосферного аэрозоля Ин-та физики атмосферы АН СССР. Одноврем. с 1968 проф. МФТИ. В 1946–62 ст. ред. журн. «Успехи физ. наук».Работы относятся к обл. физ. и атмосферной оптики. Разработал основы алгебраич. оптики и сформулировал матричное ур-ние переноса излучения. Создал полуэмпирич. теорию переноса излучения, основы спектроскопии дисперсных сред. Внес значит. вклад в развитие методов оптич. зондирования земной атмосферы. Исследовал атмосферный аэрозоль, создал оптич. модель аэрозоля и построил его кинетич. теорию. Под рук.
