С 1889 – в США (Нью-Йорк). С кон. 1890-х гг. жил в Чикаго. Первая публикация Р. – очерк о жизни рабочих в нью-йоркской газ. «Идише фолкс-цайтунг» – в 1899. Печатал во мн. еврейских периодич. изд. очерки и театр. рецензии. Был штатным сотр. ряда редакций.
