В февр.-дек. 1918 в период оккупации Минска герм, войсками возглавлял Минский подпольный к-т (с апр. 1918 – Минский подпольный районный к-т) РКП(б), руководил работой Замирьевского, Игуменского, Кайковского, Слуцкого и Несвижского подпольных подрайкомов партии, участвовал в орг-ции партиз. движения. С апр. 1918 чл. Центр. бюро профсоюзов Минска, пред. профсоюза пищевиков. Один из организаторов 1-й подпольной конф. парт. орг-ций Минского р-на (июль 1918, Минск). С нояб. 1918 руководил созданием вооруж. раб. групп и пригородных партиз. отрядов, подготовкой к выборам Минского Совета. После вступления в Минск частей Кр.
