Работал в университет. терапевтич. клинике, с 1925 на кафедре туберкулеза; одноврем. (1934–40) возглавлял терапевтич. и социально-гигиенич. отд-ния Харьковского ин-та туберкулеза. С 1940 – Москве, зам. дир. по науч. работе Центр, ин-та туберкулеза (1940–52) и зав. кафедрой туберкулеза ЦИУВа (1940–79). В 1941 Ин-т туберкулеза был эвакуирован в Новосибирск, где при участии Р. был создан филиал, а затем Новосибирский ин-т туберкулеза (1943).
