ПУЛЬНЕР Исай (Иегошуа) Менделевич (1900, Сновск Городнянского у. Черниговской губ. – 1942, Ленинград), этнограф, библиограф. Канд. ист. наук. Род. в хасидской семье. В 1918–23 участвовал в работе сионист. орг-ции «Маккаби». В 1923–25 учился в Ин-те высш. еврейских знаний (Ленинград), в 1924 совершил первую этногр. эксп. по изучению евреев Гомеля (под рук. Л.Я.Штернберга и В.Г.Богораза. В 1926–30 учился на этногр. отд-нии ЛГУ, участвовал в эксп. по изучению еврейских общин Грузии (1926, Кутаиси, 1928, Они), в 1927 изучал быт евреев-земледельцев в д. Завережье на Могилевщине. С 1925 чл. Еврейского ист.-этногр. об-ва и кружка друзей его музея; в 1929 совм. с Л.Л.Штрайхер совершил эксп. по изучению еврейских общин Кавказа (Цхинвали, Кутаиси, Они). В 1930 организовал отд. иудаизма на Антирелиг. выставке в Зимнем дворце и в Антирелиг. музее, возглавил этногр. эксп. Моск. музея народоведения в Белоруссии (Дубровно, Ляды, Любавичи). В 1931 входил в еврейскую гр. Ленингр. ин-та по изучению народов СССР, по поручению ин-та и этногр. отд. Рус. музея изучал быт еврейских местечек Белоруссии. В 1931–37 зав. еврейским отд. Гос. публ. б-ки. С 1938 науч. сотр. Гос. музея этнографии (рук. еврейским отд.), совершил этногр. эксп. в Грузию, Белоруссию, на Украину, в Еврейскую автономную область, в 1939 организовал выставку «Евреи в царской России и СССР». Среди науч. публ. П. – «Подвижные и спортивные массовые игры в местечке» (в соавт. с Д.Бенциановым) (М., 1925, на идише). Автор библиографии «Лит-ра о ср.-азиат. и кавказских евреях». В 1930-х гг. работал над монографией «Рождение, свадьба и смерть у евреев в свете этнографии» (не окончена).

PULNER Isai (Yehoshua) Mendelevich (1900, Provinz Snovsk Gorodnyansky u. Chernigov. - 1942, Leningrad), Ethnograph, Bibliograph. Cand. ist. Wissenschaften. Stange. in einer chassidischen Familie. In den Jahren 1918-23 nahm er an der Arbeit eines Zionisten teil. Organisation "Maccabi". In den Jahren 1923-25 studierte er am Institut für Hochschulbildung. Jüdisches Wissen (Leningrad) machte 1924 den ersten Ethnogr. exp. über das Studium der Juden von Gomel (unter der Aufsicht von L.Ya.Sternberg und V.G. Bogoraz. 1926-30 studierte er an der ethnografischen Abteilung der Leningrader Staatlichen Universität und nahm an einem Experiment über das Studium der jüdischen Gemeinden in Georgien teil (1926, Kutaisi, 1928, Oni) ) studierte er 1927 das Leben jüdischer Bauern im Dorf Zaverezhie in der Region Mogilev. Seit 1925 war er Mitglied der Jewish Historical Ethnographic Society und ein Freundeskreis seines Museums. 1929 führte er zusammen mit L. L.
