ПОЛЯКОВ Яаков Соломонович (1832, Дубровно Оршанского у. Могилевской губ. – 1909, Биарриц, Франция), предприниматель. Брат С.С.Полякова и Л.С.Полякова. Тайный советник. Получил традиц. еврейское религ. образование. Занимался винокурением. С кон. 1860-х гг. совм. с братьями строил ж. д., учредил Азово-Донской коммерч., Донской земельный и др. банки. П. – вице-през. Еврейского колонизационного об-ва, поч. гражданин Таганрога. Возведен в потомств. дворянство, но поскольку ни одно из дворянских собраний России не согласилось включить П. в число своих чл., был приписан к дворянам Области Войска Донского. Received a tradition. Jewish religion education. He was engaged in distilling. From the end. 1860s joint with brothers he was building. D., established the Azov-Don commercial., Donskoy land and other banks. P. - vice-president. Jewish Colonization Society, poch. citizen of Taganrog.
