ОРЖИХ Борис Дмитриевич (1864, Одесса – после 1934, Чили), революционер-народоволец. Сын адвоката. Окончил Томское реальное уч-ще (1881), был чл. ученич. кружков самообразования, участвовал в деятельности «Красного Креста «Нар. воли», организовывал побеги ссыльных революционеров. В 1882 поступил на естеств. отд-ние физ.-матем. ф-та Новороссийского ун-та (Одесса), участвовал в студенч. движении и народовольч. кружках, подвергался арестам. С кон. 1883 на нелег. положении, вел рев. работу в Харькове, Екатеринославе и др. гор. Юга России. В сер. 1880-х гг. создал и возглавил т. н. Южнорус. орг-цию «Нар. воли», участвовал в созд. ее динамитной мастерской и нелег. типографий в Таганроге и Новочеркасске, где в 1885 был отпечатан № 11–12 газ. «Нар. воля» (О. – один из ред.). Арестован в Екатеринославе в 1886. В 1888 Особое присутствие правит. Сената приговорило О. к смертной казни, к-рая по конфирмации была заменена вечной каторгой. В 1890–97 содержался в одиночной камере Шлиссельбургской крепости, после подачи прошения о помиловании сослан на Сахалин.
