МИТЛЬМАН И. (1898, Сатанов Проскуровского у. Подольской губ. – после 1940), библиограф. Учился в хедере, занимался самообразованием. После Февр. рсв-ции 1917 сдал экстерном экзамены за курс гимназии и переехал в Киев. Окончил хим. ф-т Киевского ин-та нар. образования (1930). С кон. 1920-х гг. публиковал библ. работы в журн. «Критик», «Ройтер библиотекер» и др. С 1930 сотр. Ин-та еврейской пролетарской культуры при ВУАН. В изданном ин-том «Библ. сб-ке» (1930) поместил работы «О еврейском «карточном репертуаре» в Укр. книжной палате», «Тестимониум паупертатис» («Свидетельство о бедности»), «Еврейский отдел Всенар. б-ки Украины», «Библиотечная комиссия и Центр, библ. бюро Ин-та еврейской пролетарской культуры». На протяжении мн. лет М. изучал творческое наследие Шолом-Алейхема. В сб-ке критич. ст. и материалов «Шолом-Алейхем» (Киев, 1940) совм. с Х.Наделем поместил ст. «Шолом-Алейхем как редактор-издатель». В 1939 М. и Надель издали сб. «Фаргесене блетлех» («Забытые страницы»), составленный из произв. Шолом-Алейхема, не вошедших в его собр. соч.
