Учился в иешиве в Минске и в рисовальной школе в Вильне. В 1880–84 М. – студент Петерб. АХ. В годы учебы публ. стихи, искусствоведч. и литературоведч. ст. в изд. на иврите: «Гамелиц» и «Га-Цефира». С 1884 жил в Варшаве. Публиковался в альм. «Га-Асиф» и «Кнесес Исроэл». На поэзию М. оказали влияние рус. и нем. лирики. @ru
