В 1910–12 жил в Варшаве, где был секр. у И.-Л.Переца, затем в Галиции. Дебютировал в 1914 стихами в львов. газ. Публиковал стихи, критич. ст. в разных период, изд. Пьеса Л. «Дер валдкейсер» («Лесной царь», Киев, 1918) ставили в школах и детдомах России и Украины. Популярностью пользовалась пьеса «А бер танцт» («Медведь танцует», Рига, 1922). В 1921 Л. вместе с Л.М.Квитко и Нистером издал в Берлине сб. «Геендик» («На ходу»), там же написал драму «Сдом» («Содом») и др. произв., отражавшие противоречивые настроения еврейского об-ва того времени. В нач. 1930-х гг. вилен. театр. труппа поставила комедию Л. «Гершеле Острополер». Жил в разных гор. Европы. Умер в Э.-И.- identifier

In 1910-12 he lived in Warsaw, where he was a secretary. at I.-L. Peretz, then in Galicia. He made his debut in 1914 with poetry in lions. gas. Published poetry, critical. Art. in different periods, ed. L.'s play "Der waldkeiser" ("Forest Tsar", Kiev, 1918) was staged in schools and orphanages in Russia and Ukraine. The play "A ber tant" ("The Bear Dances", Riga, 1922) was popular. In 1921 L., together with L.M. Kvitko and Nister, published a collection of works in Berlin. "Geendik" ("On the Go"), in the same place he wrote the drama "Sdom" ("Sodom") and other works reflecting the conflicting moods of the Jewish community of that time. Kunst. in verschiedenen Perioden, hrsg. Ls Stück "Der Waldkeiser" ("Waldzar", Kiew, 1918) wurde in Schulen und Waisenhäusern in Russland und der Ukraine aufgeführt. Das Stück "A ber Dances" ("Die Bärentänze", Riga, 1922) war beliebt. 1921 veröffentlichte L. zusammen mit L. M. Kvitko und Nister eine Sammlung von Werken in Berlin.
