ЛЕВИНСКИЙ Элханан Лейб (1858, Подберезье Вилейского у. Виленской губ. – 1910, Одесса), публицист, журналист. Учился в хедере, три года посещал гимназию в Ковне, в 1880 поступил вольнослушателем в Харьковский ун-т, в 1882 после погромов переехал в Э.-И. Вернувшись вскоре из-за болезни в Россию, принял участие в деятельности «Ховевей Цион». Печатал очерки о еврейских поселениях в Э.-И. в газ. «Гамелиц» и изд. на иврите. Автор утопии «Путешествие в Эрец-Исраэль в 2040 г.», где в светлых и радостных тонах рисовалась картина возрожденного и цветущего Сиона. С 1895 жил в Одессе, сочетал работу агента винодельческих пр-тий Э.-И. с сионист. деятельностью. Выступал с фельетонами в периодич. печати на иврите и идише. Участвовал в созд. изд-ва «Мория» (1901), был одним из основателей федерации по распространению иврита «Иврия» (1907), открыл первую в Одессе ежедн. газ. на идише «Гут морген». Собр. соч. LEVINSKY Elkhanan Leib (1858, Podberezye Vileisky u. Vilna province. - 1910, Odessa), publicist, journalist. He studied at the cheder, attended the gymnasium in Kovno for three years, in 1880 he entered as a volunteer at Kharkov University, in 1882 after the pogroms he moved to E.-I. Returning soon due to illness in Russia, he took part in the activities of "Hovevei Zion". He published essays on Jewish settlements in E.-I. into gas. "Gamelitz" and ed. in Hebrew. The author of the utopia "Travel to Eretz Israel in 2040", where a picture of a revived and flourishing Zion was painted in bright and joyful colors. From 1895 he lived in Odessa, combined the work of an agent of wine-making enterprises E.-I. with a Zionist. activities. He performed with feuilletons in periodical. stamps in Hebrew and Yiddish. Er studierte am Cheder, besuchte drei Jahre lang das Gymnasium in Kowno, 1880 trat er als Freiwilliger an die Kharkov-Universität ein, 1882 nach den Pogromen wechselte er zu E.-I. Aufgrund seiner Krankheit in Russland kehrte er bald zurück und nahm an den Aktivitäten von "Hovevei Zion" teil. Er veröffentlichte Aufsätze über jüdische Siedlungen in E.-I. in Gas. "Gamelitz" und ed. auf Hebräisch. Der Autor der Utopie "Reise nach Eretz Israel im Jahr 2040", in der ein Bild eines wiederbelebten und blühenden Zion in hellen und freudigen Farben gemalt wurde. Ab 1895 lebte er in Odessa, kombinierte die Arbeit eines Vertreters der Weinproduktionsunternehmen E.-I. mit einem Zionisten. Aktivitäten. Er trat mit Feuilletons in regelmäßigen Abständen auf. Briefmarken auf Hebräisch und Jiddisch. Hat an der Erstellung teilgenommen.
