КВАША Игорь Владимирович (р. 1933, Москва), актер, режиссер. По окончании Школы-студии МХАТа в 1955 был оставлен работать в т-ре, где играл эпизодич. роли. Одноврем. репетировал в студии молодых актеров пьесу В.С.Розова «Вечно живые», ставшую первым спектаклем родившегося из студии т-ра «Современник». Вся дальнейшая судьба К. связана с этим т-ром, одним из создателей к-рого он является. В первые годы работы в «Современнике» в репертуаре К. в осн. роли его сверстников, затем роль Первого министра в спектакле «Голый король» Е.Я.Шварца (I960), принесшая ему популярность. Из последующих ролей следует отметить: Сирано («Сирано де Бержерак» Э.Ростана, 1964), Джимми Портер («Оглянись во гневе» Дж.Осборна, 1965), Лука («На дне» М.Горького, 1968), Ледюк («Случай в Виши» А.Миллера, 1987) и др. Одна из работ К. – Меер-Шимон Голд в пьесе израильского драматурга Йосефа Бар-Йосефа «Трудные люди» (1992). Начиная со спектакля «Сирано де Бержерак», к-рый К. пост. совм. с О.Н.Ефремовым, пробует себя в режиссуре: «Кабала святош» (1981) и «Дни Турбиных» (1984) М.А.Булгакова, «Кот домашний средней пушистости» В.И.Войновича и Г.И.Горина (1989) и др. К. известен как исполнитель поэтич. произв.
