КУГЕЛЬ Хаим (1897, Минск – 1953, Холон, Израиль), общественный деятель. Учился в гимназии «Герцлия» в Тель-Авиве, однако был вынужден, приехав на каникулы к родителям, остаться в России из-за начала 1-й мир. войны. Учился в ун-тах Москвы и Казани. Во время Гражд. войны покинул Россию и поселился в Праге, получил докт. степень по философии и экономике. В Праге основал клуб любителей яз. иврит, а в Мукачево гимназию с преподаванием на иврите. С 1935 деп. парламента Чехословакии. С 1939 – в Э.-И.- Первый (с 1950) мэр Холона. @ru
