В 1935–73 концертмейстер классов дирижирования Моск. конс. у К.С.Сараджева, Г.А.Столярова, К.П.Кондрашина, А.В.Гаука, Н.П.Аносова, И.Б.Маркевича, Г.Н.Рождественского, Л.М.Гинзбурга и др. В 1944–50 ст. науч. сотр. Науч.-иссл. кабинета Моск. конс. (рук. Б.В.Асафьев). Создатель ист. теории ритма и происхождения лада. Автор тр.
