- КЕЛЬБЕР Яков Исаакович (1837, Браилов Подольской губ. – |), предприниматель. Получил традиц. еврейское религ. образование. Занимался разработкой и добычей извести в Подольской губ.; был одним из крупнейших лесопромышленников Юго-Западного края. В 1870 занялся мукомольным делом. В 1901 построил в Киеве паровую автоматическую мельницу производительностью до 6000 пудов пшеницы в сутки. В нач. 1900-х гг. эта мельница являлась уч. базой совр. мукомольного произв-ва для студентов Киевского политехн. ин-та. За высокое качество продукции К. был награжден неск. золотыми медалями на междунар. выставках.
