КАПЧИЦ Хаим (Ефим Исаакович) (р. 1937, Слуцк Минской обл.), живописец, график, монументалист. В 1963 окончил Высш. худ.-пром. уч-ще им. В.А.Мухиной. Участник мн. рос. неофиц. выставок. Евр. тема появляется в творчестве К. в 1960 (сер. графич. листов «Евр. азбука» и др.). В Израиле с 1981. В 1982–86 преподаватель курса монумент, иск-ва и графики в колледже ОРТ-Невиим в Иерусалиме, витража и мозаики в Центре иск-в (там же). С 1987 стремится в цвете и пластике раскрыть сущность евр. мировоззрения, глубоко интересуется евр. историей К. созд. работы по мотивам ТАНАХа, предлагает собств. видение образа могущественного евр. царя («Царь Давид»), созд. живописную сер. «Пророки». Автор монументальных росписей и витражей в израильских синагогах (Иерусалим, Хедера и др.), мозаики в парке Израиля, на междунар. выставке «Экспо–90» в Японии (за эту работу К. присужд. зол. медаль) и др.
