Автор прозаич. произв. на рус. яз. о жизни литов. местечкового еврейства: пов. «Я смотрю на звезды» (1959), «Личная жизнь» (1967), трилогия «Свечи на ветру» (1974–79), ром. «Слезы и молитвы дураков» (1983), «И нет рабам рая» (1985), «Козленок за два гроша» (1987) и др., а также поэтич. сб. на рус. и литов. яз. Проза К. отличается особой поэтичностью и афористичностью, поднимает вечные моральные проблемы. Manuf. auf Russisch lang. über das Leben der Litauer. Schtetl Judentum: Pov. "Ich schaue auf die Sterne" (1959), "Persönliches Leben" (1967), die Trilogie "Kerzen im Wind" (1974–79), Rom. Faculty of Vilnius University. Published since 1949. Author of prose. manuf. in Russian lang. about the life of the Lithuanians. shtetl Jewry: Pov. "I Look at the Stars" (1959), "Personal Life" (1967), the trilogy "Candles in the Wind" (1974–79), rom. "Tears and prayers of fools" (1983), "And there is no paradise for the slaves" (1985), "A kid for two pennies" (1987), etc., as well as poetry. Sat. in Russian and litas. lang. Prose K. is distinguished by a special poetry and aphoristic, raises eternal moral problems.
