В 1965–67 работал в Моск. т-ре на Таганке, в 1967–70 – в Моск. т-ре им. М.Н.Ермоловой. С 1971 – в труппе Моск. худ. т-ра им. М.Горького. Среди лучших ролей: Чичиков («Мертвые души» по Н.В.Гоголю,), Федя Протасов («Живой труп» Л.Н.Толстого), Ленин («Так победим!» М.Ф.Шатрова), Джим («Стеклянный зверинец» Т.Уильямса), Эзоп («Лиса и виноград» по Г.Фигейреду) и др.
