ИТЕНБЕРГ Борис Самуилович (р. 1921, Клинцы Суражского у. Гомельской губ.), историк. Д-р ист. наук (1966), проф. (1991). Р. в семье служащих. Окончил ист. ф-т Чкаловского пед. ин-та (1942). С 1942 в Кр. Армии, окончил Чкаловское зенитное арт. уч-ще, в 1943–45 на фронте. С 1945 учитель истории, с 1946 дир. школы рабочей молодежи в г. Перово Моск. обл. С 1957 в Ин-те истории АН СССР (ныне Ин-т рос. истории РАН). С нач. 1960-х гг. возглавляет гр. по истории обществ. движения в пореформенной России. Автор работ по истории обществ, движения и обществ. мысли России 2-й пол. 19 в., рус.-зап.-европ. обществ. связям.
