ИДЕЛЬСОН Лев Иосифович (р. 1930, Баку), гематолог, ученик И.А.Кассирского. Д-р мед. наук. Окончил Азерб. мед. ин-т (1953), работал врачом в Красноводске (1953–56). В 1956 поступил в аспирантуру на кафедру терапии Центр. ин-та усовершенствования врачей; в 1960—71 работал мл., затем ст. науч. сотр. кафедры гематологии и интенсивной терапии Центр. ин-та усовершенствования врачей (с 1987 проф.). С 1990 в Израиле.Науч. тр. И. посв. разл. проблемам гематологии, в т.ч. гемообразованию и порфиринообразованию в норме и патологии (докт. дис.); гипохромным анемиям (показал, что это – гр. анемий, возникающих вследствие снижения синтеза гемоглобина); железо-дефицитной анемии, обусл. кровопотерями и нарушением кишечного всасывания железа; порфириям – гл. обр. наследств, заболеваниям, связанным с нарушением порфиринового обмена (описал, независимо от Л.Гейльмейера, одну из форм – эритро-поэтическую кропопорфирию, 1968). Описал патологич. разновидность гемоглобина, к-рая является причиной одной из форм анемии. Предложил классификацию гемолитич. анемий (1975). Гос. пр.
