ГУТЕРМАН Исай (Исаак) Григорьевич (1911, Почеп Брянского у. Орловской губ. – 1981, Москва), аэроклиматолог. Д-р геогр. наук (1938), проф. с 1968. Окончил в 1937 Моск. гидрометеорологич. ин-т. С 1926 работал наблюдателем метеостанции в Почепе. В 1929–35 аэролог на полярных ст., участник арктич. эксп. На Земле Франца-Иосифа впервые в условиях полярной ночи организовал систематич. вып. радиозондов в атмосферу. В 1934 принимал участие в эксп. по спасению парохода «Челюскин», в 1935 – в первой высокоширотной эксп. на ледоколе «Садко». В НИИ аэроклиматологии возглавлял сектор аэроклиматологии. В 1941–44 в Кр. Армии. С 1944 нач. отдела наблюдений Центр. аэрологич. обсерватории. С 1955 в НИИ аэроклиматологии в Москве.Осн. работы связаны с иссл. высоких слоев атмосферы над полярными обл., с аэрологич. наблюдениями и методами их обработки, с изучением ветрового режима свободной атмосферы, вопросами усовершенствования и внедрения новых средств аэрологич. иссл., в т.ч. радиолокации. В сер. 50-х гг. принимал участие в разработке методики получения характеристик ветра на счетно-аналитич. машинах для первого аэроклиматич. справочника СССР.Соч.: Особенности строения атмосферы над полярными обл.
