ГУРЕВИЧ Симха Беркович (р. 1920, Орел), специалист в обл. техники телевидения, оптоэлектро-ники и голографии, д-р физ.-мат. наук (1964), проф. с 1968. Окончил в 1945 физ. ф-т Ленингр. гос. ун-та. С 1950 во Всес. н.-и. ин-те ТВ, с I960 работает в физ.-техн. ин-те им. А.Ф.Иоффе АН РФ, с 1968 -зав. лаб. невещательных систем ТВ (позже лаб. оптоэлектроники и голографии). С 1993 является советником ин-та. Осн. науч. работы связаны с иссл. физ. процессов в передающих телевиз. трубках, информационно-энергетич. характеристик ТВ и др. светоинформац. систем, с созданием методов обработки изображений, голографией и объемным ТВ, с вопросами хранения информации, а также с созданием невещательных систем ТВ и их применением в науч. иссл., в т.ч. для передачи голографич. изображения на космич. станции «Салют–6» и «Салют–7», на к-рых была проведена серия экспериментов в 1981–85.
